 Windber Hospice Benefit Poker Ride

In 2008 we felt the need to add a venue for horse people who do not show, but wish to help out Windber Hospice. Last year 41 riders showed up to support the ride. We have expanded the ride to three hours this year as was requested last year by a large number of the participants. The trails are wide open very easy trails to accommodate even the most timid riders.

RTRT (Ready to ride time) That means in the saddle ready to ride out. 9:00 AM

 The Poker Ride will start promptly at 9:00 on Saturday August 21st. As mentioned the ride will be three hours of easy riding. We will be returning at approximately 12:30

Ride Particulars:  

Donation for the ride will be $20.00 per person. This includes the ride, your card hand and your breakfast. Anyone riding and not drawing a hand will be $10.00 each.

Riders under 18 may not pull a hand.

Sign up at the Secretaries Stand anytime after 8:00 AM. Your first card will be drawn when you sign up  have your hand stamped and receive your tally card. Three cards will be drawn out on the trail, and your last card will be drawn once we have returned to the grounds.

We will pay out to the top three (3) hands

Payouts will be as follows: 1st - $100.00

                                                  2nd - $50.00

 In the event of ties, cards will be cut for the placements.

A release/waiver for the ride can be downloaded on the front page of this site. By downloading and filling this out early , you will be able to save time the day of the ride.
